Al Ain University Communication and Media Students Visit Emirates News Agency (WAM)
As part of Al Ain University's efforts to connect students with the professional work environment and strengthen cooperation with leading media institutions, the College of Communication and Media - Abu Dhabi campus organized a student visit to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), accompanied by faculty members.
Mr. Omar Al Ahmad, Editor-in-Chief of the Arabic Section at WAM, welcomed the students and faculty, providing a detailed presentation on the agency’s history and its development since its establishment. He also explained the process of news production within the agency and answered students' questions about various aspects of journalistic work, including the use of artificial intelligence technologies to enhance journalistic content.
At the end of the visit, students toured the agency’s departments and museum, expressing their admiration for the advanced work system, the high-quality news coverage, and the digital innovations that align with the latest local and global developments. The students emphasized that such visits offer a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the media work environment, contributing to the development of their professional skills and enhancing their academic studies in various media fields.
