A Delegation from Al Ain University visit EXPO Dubai 2020

A delegation from Al Ain University visited Expo Dubai 2020 the most important and prominent international exhibition in the Arab region and the world, to explore the pavilions and learn about the cultures and innovations of the participating countries.

The delegation members were; Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, Prof. Amer Qasem, AAU Vice President, Abu Dhabi campus, Prof. Ibtehal Aburezeq, Vice President of Development and Follow Up, Dr. Nazih Khaddaj Mallat, Vice President of Accreditation and Quality Assurance, and a number of academic and administrative staffs.

The delegation visited the national pavilion of the United Arab Emirates, which is the largest in the exhibition and its design applies sustainability. They also explored the three main areas of the exhibition, which are sustainability district, mobility district, and opportunities district, passing through Al Wasl Square, which is the heart of the exhibition. The delegation was also briefed on the pavilions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine, Russia, Indonesia and Kazakhstan.

Prof. Al-Refae praised the support of the wise leadership and the efforts of the government in the UAE to host Expo 2020 and make this global event exceptional, noting that Expo Dubai 2020 is a global platform that brings together all races without discrimination and reflects insights towards a better future.

The delegation praised the impressive designs of the buildings and the distinctive displays, the good organization and the various events accompanying the exhibition.
