AAU Students visit Louvre Abu Dhabi
The College of Communication and Media students at Al Ain University, Abu Dhabi Campus, visited Louvre Abu Dhabi as one of the most important cultural and tourist attractions in the heart of Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. During the visit, students viewed art works with historical, cultural and social significance. The visit conducted under the supervision Dr. Soad Matar.
The architectural design of the museum, which is derived from traditional Arab architecture combined with civilization, has impressed the students, as well as, the creative architectural summit of the museum, which combine between the lights and shade. This was inspired by the penetration of the sunlight to the interlocking palms’ fronds used in the roof of traditional houses.
Dr. Matar said that Louvre Abu Dhabi reflects the real openness to civilizations, stressing the importance of the museum as a cultural and educational center for future generations to enhance communication with other cultures.
